Volunteer
Transfiguration believes that the educational process is a partnership with the parents of the children we serve. Open communication is key to this partnership and is encouraged through individual parent-faculty conferences, phone calls, e-mail,
Principal Newsletters, regular progress reports, Parent Teacher Organization and
School Advisory Committee opportunities and multiple other events throughout the year.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in their child’s education. Studies have shown students perform better at school when they have parents who volunteer at their school and show an active interest in their education.
VOLUNTEER/SERVICE HOURS REQUIREMENT:
Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 20 service hours per year.
Service hours not served will be billed at a rate of $10.00 an hour.
The Archdiocese requires that all volunteers have a background check completed before they are permitted to work in the school. The background check must be completed for all school volunteers and coaches.
